On Monday 13th June 2016 in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, we are delighted to announce Pentana Solutions Chairman Wal Pisciotta was recognised with the Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to the Australian Automotive Industry.

What is the Medal of the Order of Australia?

In the Australian honours system, appointments to the Order of Australia grant recognition for outstanding achievement and service.

The Medal of the Order of Australia is awarded for service worthy of particular recognition and recipients of the Order of Australia are from many fields of endeavour and all walks of life.

Wal Pisciotta has transformed the Australian Automotive retail industry over the last 42 years. Bringing Information Technology and Communications to a largely manual process driven industry, to accept change, automate processes, improve efficiencies and use the latest technologies to its full potential. Wal’s willingness to accept the change internally within Pentana Solutions and take that change to the Australian Automotive retail industry is within our culture and R.I.T.C.H. principles (Respect, Integrity, Trust, Communication and Honesty.) Wal is the creative brain and believer behind our R.I.T.C.H. principles, which are the essence of Pentana Solutions, despite them being derived from a collaborative group – it was Wal’s drive, passion, inspiration and commitment to these principles that encompasses the person that Wal is and encourages others to be.

This is an outstanding achievement and a sensational recognition.
