With over 16 years’ experience in the automotive industry, Morrie Camporeale has been named as Pentana Solutions’ new CIO. The last five years of Morrie’s journey have been driving operational excellence through the company’s distribution ERP arm as General Manager – Distribution Solutions. Previous to this Morrie was Inchcape Australia’s IT Manager.

In his new role as Pentana Solutions’ CIO, Morrie will man the helm of development, or as the business calls it – Innovations. With experience in the automotive retail space as well as the requirements of distribution or manufacturing operations he is well aware of the very connected and global nature of today’s market. His goal is delivering a mix of best of breed solutions to retailers, distributors and OEMs in a way that drives efficiency from the core of their business.

As a people focused leader Morrie is keen to drive new software innovations to market from an agile approach. Morrie says, ‘this business is its people and our global team of innovators are just that; innovative and passionate people. A Vision for the Future

When asked what’s in store for the future Morrie tells us that he, ‘wants to skate to where the puck is going to be, by continuing to develop automotive software that is intuitive, easy to use and in line with growing automotive trends.’ Morrie’s team will do this by using some of the latest technologies and processes to support agile scrum development and deployment. ‘Furthermore, Quality Assurance at Pentana Solutions will be adopting new multi-point test regimes to ensure the best customer experience the first time, every time,’ adds Morrie.

A Passionate Software Leader

When asked about the businesses product suite Morrie is frank. ‘We’re not bleeding edge but we are leading edge because we’re flexible and robust and intuitive. I honestly believe we have the best intellectual property of any DMS provider in the world. Making that value easily accessible in a user interface is at the fore of my vision.’ Pentana Solutions’ new CIO ends by saying, ‘we will continue to develop our industry leading integrations with OEMs to take the complexity out of dealerships; giving them more time to do what they do best - sell cars.’
